Ship&co API: delivery.invoice Now Returns a URL Instead of PDF Data

2026/03/27

As of March 27, 2026, the delivery.invoice field in the Ship&co API response now returns a direct URL to the customs invoice PDF, replacing the previous Base64-encoded data format. This makes it consistent with delivery.carrier_invoice, which already returned a URL. The field name and response structure are unchanged.

This field applies to: Japan Post international services (EMS for Documents, ePacket Light, Small Packet, Printed Matter, Letters), FedEx when ETD is not available, and other international shipments where the carrier does not generate its own customs invoice. DHL and UPS are not impacted.

If you use the delivery.invoice field in your integration, a code update is required. Please refer to the migration notice sent to API users for details and code examples.
