EU shipments: Product identifiers now sent to three more carriers

From 1 November 2026, EU customs requires three Product Identifiers (PIDs) for every product sold to a consumer in the EU from outside the EU.
Orange Connex, Yamato International and ECMS now join FedEx, DHL Express, UPS and Zonos: all three identifiers are sent on every product of an EU-bound shipment.

  • Merchant PID — the ID your shop or marketplace gives the product

  • Manufacturer PID — the manufacturer’s product code, such as the MPN

  • Standardised PID — the barcode number (JAN, EAN, UPC)

PIDs are taken from the product fields already on your orders.Non-EU destinations are unchanged.
